I'm afraid of my ghost—
the version of me that never made it back,
the one who stayed in the dust,
who learned to breathe smoke like air.
He follows me through quiet rooms,
sits in the chair I leave empty at dinner,
reads over my shoulder every time I write
about survival.
He knows what I left behind.

A poet by instinct, Phoenix writes from places most people spend their lives trying to avoid — broken relationships, silent nights filled with questions, and the quiet battles no one sees. His work reflects transformation: rising from difficult moments and turning them into something powerful.
"His work is not imagined. It is lived."
"To make people feel.
To remind them they are not alone.
To prove that even in ashes,
there is something worth becoming."
